Bugle blows conscious notes

Krista Henry, Staff Reporter

Bugle - file

For anyone who has listened to the works of dancehall's latest hot commodity and STAR of the Month, Bugle, it is obvious that when he puts pen to paper magic happens.

Thoughtful and poetic, Bugle always take a serious approach to a variety of conscious topics.

A writer of all his songs before Bugle made it big on his own, he used to write for artistes such as Elephant Man and Bounty Killer. For Bugle writing is a natural thing as he is inspired by his daily life.

Natural inspiration

"Its a natural inspiration, from being round people, from reading the Bible, from reading the STAR, talking to people, being on the Internet from life," he said.

While a number of persons drink or smoke to get inspiration Bugle needs no incentive to get his creative juices flowing. One can see Bugle on a plane, driving his car or at party when he is suddenly struck with inspiration and jots down his latest thoughts.

He said, "I'm a very spiritual person so the deeper aspects of life, real life concerns me."

The songs What We Gonna Do, Journeys and Criminal are products of his introspection and fans can expect more. They can expect "the same kind of vibe, mi nah go drop the standards of what my music is."
