Dwayne Mcleod, Staff Reporter

A mother and her two sons were among six persons who were charged with breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act after being found with ganja and a large quantity of money last Thursday.

Charged are Lavern Wilson and her sons, 24-year-old Craig Montaque and 26-year-old Henric Montaque. They are all from a Braeton, St Catherine, address.

Jermaine Johnson of a Kingston address, Annazette Foster of a St Catherine address and Elaine Williams of Junction in St Mary were also charged.

Police reports are that a police unit stopped a Toyota RAV4 along Port Henderson Road with the group aboard.

The vehicle was searched and a parcel of ganja weighing approximately one pound was reportedly found.

Further reports are that subsequent investigations, led the police to a house in Portmore, St Catherine, where 15 packages of pellets containing ganja were found.

The sum of US$400 and nearly J$76,000 was also reportedly found at the premises.

The group is scheduled to attend court on April 8.
