Thirty-one-year-old Omar Reid, who was captured by the police on Wednesday in connection with the death of British national Barbara Jones-Scott, has been formally charged.
Police reports say that Reid was arrested shortly after 11 o'clock in St James last Wednesday night following a police operation and was charged with the murder of the retired nurse on Saturday.
Reid was believed to have also been missing along with Jones-Scott.
One week after she was last seen on March 14, her body was found in a pit in her backyard in Somerton, St James.
Investigators consequently theorised that Mr Reid was in hiding.
It is believed that that the two were in a relationship.
