Jumper: new story, old idea

THE EDITOR, Sir:

The movie 'Jumper' has been making its release around the world recently. It stars Hayden Christenson best known for his role as Darth Vador in Star Wars, and Samuel L. Jackson.

A story about a young man who discovers he has the ability to tele-port his body from one place to the next, he eventually decides to use his new found power to his greatest advantage, to rob banks, which draws the attention of a government special agent played by Jackson, who hunts him down.

The movie audience learns that there's many more 'Jumpers' around the world. The agents job is to seek out and destroy them all.

This story is new but the teleport idea is not. I remember the Night-Crawler character from the X-Men movie.

I am, etc.,
