The heat is on - Cops launch manhunt for 30-year-old suspect in British national's disappearance

A manhunt is now on for a 30-year-old labourer who the police say can assist them in their investigations into the disappearance of British national, 61-year-old Barbara Jones-Scott.

Being sought by the police is Omar Reid of Somerton in St. James. Barbara Jones-Scott, the missing woman, reportedly came to Jamaica in January and was staying at a house in Somerton, St James.

She is Caucasian, medium built, about 170 centimetres tall and was reportedly last seen on March 14.

Reports from the Constabulary Communication Network are that about 10:00 a.m., Jones-Scott left home to visit a friend in Montego Bay. She has not been seen or heard from since.

She reportedly arrived in the island some time in January was was scheduled to return to her overseas home on April 1.

Anyone knowing her whereabouts is being asked to contact the Adelphi police at 912-1026, police emergency 119 numbers or the nearest police station.
