In a bid to maintain a high level of security at this year's GraceKennedy Boys' and Girls' Championships, several items will be restricted, while others will be banned during the March 12-15 meet.
RESTRICTED ITEMS
❒ Aerosol cans other than those containing deodorant, medication or insect repellent.
❒ Banners and flags which restrict the view of others.
❒ Coolers boxes
❒ Glass containers
❒ Umbrellas other than collapsible personal types.
❒ Any other substance which is considered dangerous or offensive, disruptive or likely to infringe the rights, safety or security of an individual.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
❒ Alcoholic beverages
❒ Cans, tins other than containers for medication, insect repellent or sunscreen.
❒ Explosives
❒ Firearms or imitation firearms
❒ Fireworks
❒ Flagpoles
❒ Flares
❒ Illegal drugs or narcotics (including ganja)
❒ Knives
❒ Mace
❒ Megaphones, including compresses air or gas operated horns
❒ Pepper spray.
Persons attending the championships will be subjected to search, and prohibited items or restrict items (other than exceptions) will be confiscated. According to the organisers, the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA), there will be strict application of a 'no search - no access' policy in respect of access to the Stadium complex.
PRICE OF TICKETS
❒ Season tickets: $2,200
❒ Wednesday and Thursday: Adults $200; children $50.
❒ Friday: Grandstand $1,100; bleachers $350.
❒ Saturday: Grandstand $1,500;
bleachers $700.
N.B. For Saturday, students may purchase their tickets at their schools at a discount price of $500.
