Four shot in St James

Four persons were shot, one fatally, by gunmen at Peaceview, Albion, St James, on Thursday night.

Dead is 19-year-old Richard Williams, otherwise called 'Richie', while injured are two men age 20 and 24, and a 55-year-old woman, all of Albion addresses.

Reports from the CCN's liaison Officer for St James are that about 9:50 p.m., Williams and the other three persons were at a premises in the Peaceview community. While there, they were attacked by three men armed with guns, who robbed them of an undetermined sum of cash and their cellular phones. The gunmen then opened fire, hitting them, before escaping in the area. All four injured persons were taken to hospital where Williams was pronounced dead and the others treated.

The Montego Bay police are investigating.
