Jamaica team off to world TT championships

A three-man table tennis team comprising Peter Moo Young, Joseph Dibbs and Darryl Strachan left yesterday to represent the island in the World Team Table Tennis Championships, being held in Guanzhou, China.

The championships will run from February 24 to March 2, and technical director Donald Salmon will serve as manager/coach while Samuel Lamount will be the delegate.

Clive Johnson, one of Jamaica's four iternational umpires, was chosen by the International Table Tennis Federation to umpire at the championships.
