Headless body identified

The St Andrew Central police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the headless body of a man in a gully at Lincoln Avenue in the Kingston 10 area on Wednesday morning.

The body has been identified as that of Kevin Glave, 20, of St. Joseph's Road, Kingston 13.

Reports from the CCN's metro officer are that about 4:45 a.m., residents made the discovery and called the police. Close inspection of the body by investigators who went to the scene revealed gunshot wounds. The body was removed to the morgue for post mortem.

They are also investigating the murder of a shopkeeper in the division on Tuesday night.

A 42-year-old shopkeeper was shot dead at his business place at Tangerine Place in the Kingston 10 area.

Dead is Rupert Williams of Windsor Heights, Central Village, St Catherine.

The CCN's Metro Officer is reporting that about 11:15 p.m., Mr. Williams was at his establishment when a white motor car drove up. A man armed with a gun alighted from the vehicle and immediately opened fire at Williams killing him on spot.
