H View favoured for U-21 battle

Four-time defending champs Portmore United and Harbour View will be looking to steal the spotlight from the Premier League teams when they battle for the Coca-Cola National Under-21 Football League mid-season title tomorrow.

Their match, scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start, will precede the Cash Plus Premier League's second-round final between Tivoli Gardens and Waterhouse at the Harbour View Mini Stadium at 6:00 p.m.

Portmore, who have won their last four games and top the league with 25 points, two more than Harbour View, enter the play-off in rich form compared to Harbour View, which have won only one of their last four games. Portmore's impressive line-up also includes Eric Vernon and Ricardo Cousins, recent invitees to the national senior squad, along with Steven Morrissey and Carlos Barrett who should ensure a tough outing for the hosts.

In their corner, Harbour View have rock solid defender Lance Laing, who also earned a call up to the national squad after impressing in the tournament, promising goalie Dwayne Miller, striker Cleyon Brown and central defenders Montrose Phinn and Decoy Williams.

In their only previous meeting this season, Harbour View beat Portmore 3-0.
