Leford Green
Jamaica's World Championships representative Leford Green and World Youth silver medallist Shermaine Williams were winners at the Texas Roadhouse Carolina Classic on the weekend.
Leford Green, who helped Jamaica to fourth in the 1600m relay at the World Championships, running for the Lennox Graham-coached J.C. Smith University, took the men's 200m in 21.84 ahead of Travis Padgett of Clemson (21.91).
World Youth 100m hurdles silver medallist, Williams, also of J.C. Smith, won the girls' 60m hurdles in 8.44 ahead of Lucile Berliat (8.48) and Pollymay Hardy of Clemson (8.52).
A the Dordt College Indoor Invitational held on Saturday in Sioux Center, Iowa, former national junior javelin record holder, Shaneka Parkes also led a University of South Dakota 1-2-3 finish in the women's 55-meter dash.
Parkes won the event with a 7.45 clocking and she was followed by Jenessa Filler (7.49) and Lauren Krell (7.50).

Another Jamaican, Andrene Miller, who like Parkes attended Holmwood and G.C. Foster College, was fourth in 8.76.
In the women's 200m, Filler set a meet record with victory in 25.98 seconds. She was followed by Parkes (26.20).
At the Rod McCravy Memorial Track & Field Meet, hosted by the University of Kentucky, Lorain McKenzie of Florida University ran a provisional qualifying mark of 2:06.89 for third place in the women's 800m. She trailed Tiffany McWilliams (2:03.17) and Nicole Cook (2:03.43), both running unattached.
At the Titan Open in Illinois, Ana-Kay Campbell of Lindenwood was a double winner. Campbell won the 55m hurdles in 8.52 seconds ahead of Amanda LaRocca of Illinois West (8.62). She later returned to leap 1.65m to beat Abigail Owens of Greenville (1.61m) for the high jump title.
Sherline Duncan of Adams State won the women's 60m dash in 7.56, beating Maria Halton of Utah State (7.67) and Alesha Walker of New Mexico (7.71).
Indira Spence of Adams State took the women's 200m title in 24.49 ahead of Katelyn Jensen of Utah State (24.82).
Spence returned for the 60m hurdles, but was beaten into second place by Stephani Perkins (8.29). Spence's time was 8.33.
