Seven killed in two days

Three persons were shot, one fatally, on Chisholm Avenue, on Tuesday night. This followed the murder of four persons in Gordon Town on Monday night.

Racquel Williams, 20, was shot dead and two men, age 37 and 55, were injured when they were fired at by gunmen. At 9:40 p.m., the three, who are all of Chisholm Avenue addresses, were standing among a group of persons on the avenue when gunmen opened fire at them hitting the three. They were taken to hospital where Williams died and the others were treated.

The Hunts Bay police are investigating.

Earlier in Gordon Town, four men were shot dead while playing dominoes. Dead are Wayne 'Abba' Morris,17, Anthony Williams, 21, Orane Williams, 16, all of Industry Village, and Romeo Webber, 19, of Waterford, St Catherine.

Police say at 9 p.m., Morris, Williams and Webber were playing dominoes when they were attacked by gunmen who fired shots killing them on the spot.

Orane was returning from a nearby shop when he was chased and fired at by the gunmen. In a bid to escape, he jumped from a bridge, sustained injuries and died on the spot. The Gordon Town police are investigating.
