Portmore's Meadowvale extended their winning streak in the Henkel-sponsored Federation Cup Pattex skittles competition last Sunday when they crushed Olympic Strikers 9-2 in a home match at Caymanas Gardens.

Meadowvale have won now their last four match to occupy second in the standings with 142 points - 16 adrift of long-time leader Dragon, who defeated House of Peace 7-4 in a home match at Giltress Street, Rollington Town.

Results of other matches are as follows: Defending champions Cherry's Strikers defeated Mystix 8-3 in a home match at Bejon's Sports Bar, Hughenden Plaza; Eastern All-Stars clipped Waltham All-Stars 6-5 at Waltham, while Wray & Nephew champions Rowe's Strikers gained a walkover from Portmore's The Dip.

Cherry's Strikers are third in the standings with 142 points, followed by Rowe's Strikers, Eastern All-Stars, Waltham, Mystix, Olympic Strikers and House of Peace.

Cup holders Cherry's Strikers are still in contention to retain the championship.

On Sunday they turned in a clinical display to beat Mystix convincingly, a match in which Cherry's Robert 'Rapid Fire' Bogle defeated former singles champion and ex-teammate Leslie 'Toothpick' Puranda for the first time in his career.

Among the other winning players for Cherry's were Emmanuel Munda, David 'Shabba' Adams, Karlene Donaldson, who beat Rose Hill in the ladies match, then teamed up with former singles champion Robert McKen to win the mixed doubles.
