LONDON (AP)

Manchester United will face Arsenal in the fifth round of the FA Cup, and Liverpool and Chelsea picked up home games against relatively easy opponents in yesterday's draw.

The two most successful clubs in the competition's 136-year history meet at Old Trafford for a place in the quarter-finals and it's the 10th FA Cup game in a row United have faced Premier League opponents.

The last FA Cup meeting of record 11-time champion United and 10-time winners Arsenal was in the 2005 final when the Gunners won a penalty shoot-out after a 0-0 draw. In 12 FA Cup meetings, they have each won five times and two games have been drawn.

United got to the fifth round by beating Tottenham 3-1 and Arsenal overcame Newcastle 3-0.

Winning team

Defending champions Chelsea hosts Huddersfield from League One, and Liverpool, who won their seventh FA Cup title in 2006, welcome Championship club Barnsley to Anfield. Liverpool beat semi-pro team Havant and Waterlooville 5-2 on Saturday after trailing 2-1 until just before half-time.

Huddersfield manager Andy Ritchie, whose team has not reached the quarter-final stage since 1972, said his team would go to Stamford Bridge and enjoy being the outsiders.

''We can go down there, nobody will expect us to win, we can go and play with freedom and, you never know, it's the cup,'' Ritchie said. ''The big two (Manchester United and Arsenal) are playing each other, one of them is going to go out. It's the magic of the cup, isn't it?''

Only six Premier League clubs have made it to the last 16, but United and Arsenal were the only two to face each other.

Middlesbrough go to Championship club Sheffield United, which upset Manchester City 2-1 Sunday.

''It's a very interesting draw,'' said Sheffield United manager Bryan Robson, who took Middlesbrough to the 1997 final where it lost to Chelsea. ''It's one the lads are entitled to think they are in with a chance of winning after beating two Premier League sides already.

''Personally, I've still got a lot of good friends at Middlesbrough, including (owner) Steve Gibson, and it will be nice to see them again. The association with Middlesbrough brings up some happy memories of reaching the FA Cup final.''

Portsmouth goes to Championship team Preston, which won 4-1 at Derby County, which is last in the Premier League.
