Another rumour of a Bar-Bee beating

Rumours of another Bar-Bee beating have been making the rounds on the street and in the media. According to the rumours the curvaceous singer was assaulted by Beenie Man's brother and manager 'Blue' last Saturday night at Jagga B's party at La Roose in Portmore.

Internet and radio sources have been speculating about what happened at the party. They claim that Beenie Man was present at the party suggestively dancing with numerous women when Bar-Bee got jealous and tried to cause a fuss. Blue is alleged to have prevented her from causing a scene by hitting her. After Bar-Bee left the party Beenie Man was reportedly upset about the incident and argued with Blue.

This follows another recent rumour that Bar-Bee was assaulted by Beenie Man after refusing to comply with his demands.

However, a source says that allegations of abuse are false. The source claims that Bar-Bee and Blue were in a verbal argument when she was accidentally hit in the eye by Blue. Bar-Bee left the party afterwards.

Bar-Bee's publicist, Ray Alex-ander, also denies the rumour. He said the incident was a big misunderstanding and Blue did not intentionally hit the singer in her eye. He said "I wasn't there but when I found out I called her."

"She said when she got there something went down between herself and Blue. She didn't get into it. An argument started and you know when Jamaican people argue we argue wid our hands. She said his finger went into her eye."

Alexander continued, "she walked away when Beenie came over and Blue explained what happened, then he (Blue) went over to Bar-Bee and apologised to her."

After the incident Bar-Bee left the party.

As to why the incident occurred, Mr Alexander refuted that it was caused by jealousy on Bar-Bee's part. "The girls they are talking about, they came with Bar-Bee, they all go out together so it couldn't be that. I don't know what it is but it's obviously a misunderstanding," he said.

Efforts to contact Blue and Bar-Bee were futile.
