Kelly Ann Dennis had no resevations about 'backing it up for Beenie Man, who was part of the judging panel deciding who would later win a date with him.
Beenie Maaaan', is what the fans were screaming for the King Of The Dancehall who was the Star's Artiste of the month for December 2007.
The Star arranged for willing, adoring and able female fans between the ages of 18 and 25 to compete for a date with their favourite doctor. Fifteen finalists from a host of entrants were selected to parade for the artiste on the rooftop at The Gleaner Company on December 22, 2007.
The girls paraded in a mini-fashion show organised by the STAR team. They then went on to perform talent pieces that included self-written poems, singing and dancing. Only four would go on to win the coveted date. The winners Renee Frater, Sherene Samuels, Cammar Thomas and Kelly-Ann Dennis will be treated to dinner at one of Kingston's finest restaurants. While she didn't win, Kenesha Blackwood will receive a special prize for impressing the Doctor with the poem she wrote for him.
Autograph signing
Star Artiste of the Month for December, Beenie Man, spent about three hours siging autographs for his many fans who turned out to the Gleaner Company's North Street office on Saturday December 22, 2007. The competition was the final leg of the autograph signing. The first of the two-part concert was held in Montego Bay on December 21 at Aqua Sol, with an extravagant autograph signing for his many fans in western Jamaica. Fans turned out in droves to experience the five minutes of fame with their favourite star. There were also giveaways of a one-of-kind CD/DVD quad pack. The entertainer worked tirelessly to put his signature to his 8x10 photographs for his doting fans, despite him being ill from a stomach bug.
Unfortunately, he had to disappoint some of who waited hours for his arrival on December 22 in Kingston. He has promised to make it up to his fans and reassured those who turned up for the Kingston leg of the concert that his failure to perform was totally beyond his control.

Fans of Beenie Man lined up for hours outside the STAR sportsclub to get an autograph and CD/DVD combo of the Doctor's music.
