Two killed in separate incidents

The Mount Salem police are now searching for the person who killed a 20-year-old man on Rough Road, Glendevon, on New Year's Day.

Dead is Patrick Brown of Rough Road, St James. Police reports are that at 7:40 p.m., residents heard explosions and called the police. When the police arrived, they found Brown's body with gunshot wounds in a gully. The crime scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue.

Meanwhile, the Denham Town police said two persons were also injured in a New Year's Day shooting in Arnett Gardens.

Michael Robinson, a 34-year-old man also known as 'Cripple' was killed in that incident, but two men, one aged 26, and the other 36, were also injured in the shooting.

Police reports are that at 3:45 p.m., Robinson was among a group of men playing dominoes in a shop in an area of the community known as Mexico. A gunman pounced upon the men and immediately opened fire hitting them. The police were summoned and the injured men were taken to hospital where Robinson was pronounced dead and the others admitted. The Denham Town Police continue to investigate.
