Super League team Humble Lion have been crowned the Clarendon Football Association/ Trevor Dunkley knockout champions.
Humble Lion defeated Monymusk 3-1 at Jamalco Sports Club in a very exciting and entertaining encounter on Thursday.
As early as the 15th minute in the game the Lions started to roar when Omar Walters went into the box and booted the ball past Monymusk custodian Calverton Thomas to put his team in the lead.
Monymusk were brought to life by the goal and made several advances at the Lions goal area, but missed several clear opportunities that could have taken them back level in the game before the half time break.
The Lions increased their lead in the 63rd and 71st minutes with goals from Delroy McClaren and Tyrone Buddah respectively. With two minutes to go Monymusk Donovan Thomas scored his team's consolation goal.
Humble Lion coach Anthony Pringle said: "After losing the final last year we came with a game plan for this one and the team stuck to the plan and it paid off for us."
Losing coach Clifford Robinson blamed complacency for his team's defeat. He also said his players failed to follow his instructions.
