Woman pleads guilty to theft

A woman who pleaded guilty to simple larceny after stealing three bathing suits and a face cream from a Lord and Lady store, will have to wait a few more days to know her fate.

The court heard that on the day in question, Shereen Roberts visited the store and removed the items without paying. She was accosted near the store and the goods were recovered.

When Roberts appeared before RM Glen Brown in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday, she told the court, "Under the circumstances, I would like to plead guilty." RM Brown then ordered that a probation report be prepared for Roberts.

Her bail was extended and she is to be sentenced on December 19.
