Dear Pastor,
I have just committed myself to a relationship that is long distance. However, I am not sure if this is the right decision. The young man I am seeing is currently living in Jamaica and I am in Canada. He is visiting for 3 months and even though he is here, I barely see him. That leaves me to wonder if he is seeing other girls while I am at work. Another thing is that he does not call me very often or he says he will call, but never does. However, when we speak, it is lovely.
What should I do, pastor? Should I just end the relationship or just give this guy a chance? And how long do you think I should hold out before I have sex with him?
T. A., Ontario, Canada
Dear T. A.,
No man can be too busy to see his girlfriend. He is visiting Canada and he does not make the time to call you or see you often. He is not behaving as a person who is in love. I cannot encourage you to take this man seriously. Don't get involved with him.
Pastor
