We don't know exactly what her dancing partner was doing but this young lady was certainly enjoying herself at 'Twisted Spiritz', held at The Pantry, Dumfries Road, New Kingston, on Saturday.
With barely any breathing space, the grounds of the Pantry Playhouse were filled to capacity with patrons at 'Twisted Spiritz' last Saturday night.
'Party Like A Rockstar' was the theme for the night as patrons came decked out in black with chain-like accessories and faces painted like rock stars. The most stand-out fashion statements of the night were the selectors DJ Cutty and Nero P from Coppershot Disco who came dressed in wigs imitating their favourite rock artistes. The women donned, to the pleasure of countless men, skimpy tops and even skimpier bottoms.
Three bars
With three bars serving free mix liquor and a zesty bar serving tropical ice mixes, patrons were on their way to being drunk from early out. Bloodline got the crowd moving first with slow reggae songs such as Pressure's Love and Affection and Richie Stephens' Lonely Teardrops. Coppershot really got the crowd moving next with a mixture of rap and new dancehall hits. Songs from Aidonia and Charlie Blacks got the women 'backing it up' and bending over as they gyrated.
With the venue segmented, persons began to fill out the rest of the Pantry from the parking lot right to the back, chatting and moving along to the music. The men were busy eyeing the women in the hope of moving in whenever the right record graced the turntables. After Coppershot finished a blazing set, Bloodline followed to a slew of rock hits. Patrons jumped in the centre of the dance floor in front of the selectors, rocking away to Numb from Linkin Park, This Love by Maroon 5 and other hits. During the rock songs, patrons threw drinks and ice up in the air getting into the vibe.
The vibe slowly faded as the night proceeded, after 2 a.m. when ZJ Liquid hit the wheels of steel, the vibe slowly returned as Liquid played old dancehall, a slew of Mavado and other tunes. The number of patrons continued to swell as the night went on, as all corners were filled with dancing or talking patrons. While the music was good from all selectors, the number of patrons splintered across a segmented venue, the vibe was not as constant in some areas. The area with the most vibes was in on the dance floor in front of the selectors.
Overall, most patrons seemed to enjoy themselves as the party went on till nearly 4 a.m. as the patrons were rocked out and took a long time in exiting the venue.
