Two men accused of killing Henrik Litske, a 49-year-old citizen of Denmark, who was found dead in his car last month, were remanded into custody when the case was mentioned yesterday.
The case was mentioned at the Savannah-La-Mar Resident Magistrate's Court and was put off until on December 6. Charged with murder are Pattel Williams, 25 and Howard Dixon, 35 of Linten Pen, Grange Hill, Westmoreland.
Listske, a European citizen was found dead in a Toyota Yaris motorcar at Frome in Westmoreland on October 24.
Fatal wound
Allegations are that the body was found at daybreak when persons headed for work at the Sugar Company of Jamaica, Frome division, noticed the partially submerged car in a section of a body of water referred to as Blue Hole on estate land. Litske's body which was found floating next to the driver's door, that was partially opened.
A wound to the back of his head led investigators to believe that Litske's attacker used a blunt object to inflict the fatal wound.
The back windshield of the car was shattered while the front one was bashed in. Travel and other personal documents belonging to Litske were found scattered in the vehicle. Also, bloodstains were seen at the bank of the pond, causing investigators to believe that the fracas leading to the death of Litske was done just before dumping him and the car in the pool.
The car is registered to a Courtney Locke from Allside in Trelawny, whom the lawmen believe rented the car to the Danish visitor.
