Pervert in the church

DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM? IS SOMETHING BOTHERING YOU? WRITE TO: TELL ME PASTOR, DR. AARON DUMAS, P.O. BOX 188, KING STREET, KINGSTON. FOR PERSONAL REPLIES PLEASE INCLUDE A STAMPED, SELF-ADDRESSED ENVELOPE. TELEPHONE: 929-1667/8

Dear Pastor,

I am a 21-year-old female living in London who attends church. A man in my church always runs after young girls and he likes my sister. She denied ever getting intimate with him. After a while, he came to me and asked me out. I asked him about my sister and he denied it. He said he wanted us to be good friends. He asked me out and wanted us to get down and dirty, but I told him I wasn't going to do it because it was wrong. He didn't want to accept my answer. He still wanted to go along with it. I told him to let us just be friends, but he kept on sending me nasty texts and e-mails.

I got fed up with it and decided to tell my youth leader. He told me he was going to talk to him. Anyway, it all came out and all my family members found out. He denied ever talking to me and now everyone thinks I am telling lies. He came to where my family and I were and denied everything. He sent me text messages calling me bitchy names.

Pastor, I can tell you that nothing happened. We were never involved because he was a man of God and I looked up to him as a role model. He's still preaching.

I want you to help me pray that God will strike and kill him right in front of everybody. I am going to talk to my pastor, but he won't be able to do anything because this man used to be a police and he can convince anyone that I was lying, and he's a big old 41-year-old man who could be my dad.

It disgusts me to know he has a wife, and when you see him no one is as holy as him. What hurts me most is that my family believes him and not me because they think he's a man of God. If God doesn't stop him, I will before he messes up somebody else's life.

The way this man makes my family look at me, almost made me take my own life. But then I realised that he's not worth my life and if I was going to die, he was going to die too, shortly after me. God knows the truth and He will pay him. But God takes too long sometimes.

Pastor, please pray for me so that I can have a happy life because all I have in this world is myself. Thank you.

C. L., England

Dear C. L.,

Leave this man in God's hands. God knows the truth and you know the truth. He was able to convince your relatives that you were lying on him. What your relatives did was to belittle you and say to this man that they have no confidence in you. They should have asked themselves the question: why would you lie on this man?

The Bible says, "Vengeance is mine" So, God will deal with this man in His own way and in His own time. God is never too slow. God is always on time. If this man knows the Lord and he is a genuine Christian, it would bother his conscience that he has got your relatives to call you a liar and belittle you, so to speak.

Believe me, my dear, you will shine and the day may come when your relatives will have to admit that you were telling the truth and apologise to you. I am sure you have heard the story in the Bible about Joseph and how his brothers ill-treated him and lied to their father about his whereabouts. But God blessed Joseph and took care of him and years after, God used Joseph to save his father and the very brothers who ill-treated him from famine.

So, again, I say, leave everything in God's hands. The dirty e-mails that he has been sending to you, print them and store them away. They may become useful to you in the years ahead.

Pastor
