Police attached to the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse(CISOCA) have charged three persons who were allegedly involved in a human-trafficking ring.
Charged with trafficking in persons are 21-year-old Kenroy Rowe, a dance teacher attached to the Clan Carthy High School; 21-year-old Anita Davis and 18-year-old Michael Haynes.
The three were arrested two weeks ago after investigators raided a premises on Cooper Drive in Constant Spring, St. Andrew, and rescued a 17-year-old girl who was reportedly being held hostage.
Police reports are that the 17-year-old girl responded to an advertisement seeking persons to work in a massage parlour. She responded and was subsequently offered the job.
Further reports are that, the teen reported for work on Saturday, October 20 only to be informed that she would be required to have sex with the clients.
Upon refusing, it is alleged that she was held hostage by persons at the premises.
She was also reportedly sexually assaulted and then locked in a room.
She however had a cellphone in her possession which she used to contact her family and friends who summoned the police.
The following day investigators raided the parlour and rescued the teenager.
The three accused, who were on the premises, were subsequently arrested and are set to appear in court today (Wednesday).
