Woman arrested for 'passport fraud'

A woman who attempted to renew a passport she obtained through fraudulent means in 2002, was arrested and charged on Wednesday.

Marsha Wright, 28, a sales representative was charged with obtaining a passport by false means, conspiracy to deceive and making a false declaration.

It is reported that Wright received a passport in the name Shamore Goode in 2002. The passport expired in 2007 and when Wright went to the passport office to renew the document, it was discovered that her true name was Marsha Wright. She was arrested by personnel from the Immigration Department and handed over to the police.

Wright reportedly travelled on the passport on several occasions and was deported to Jamaica recently.
