In what law officials believe to be a reprisal killing, Kevin Wedderburn whom THE STAR reported yesterday as one of three men being hunted by the St. Andrew South police was found dead.
According to yesterday's lead story, Wedderburn was linked to nine murders since the start of the year, and was even feared by his own family.
Police reports are that on September 14, at about 6:15 a.m., the body of Wedderburn was found in a barrel at the corner of Peachon and Barry streets in downtown Kingston. The police were subsequently alerted and on Sunday identified the body of Wedderburn who was said to frequent lower Greenwich Farm and west Kingston.
Wedderburn was fingered as the triggerman in the murder of Andrew Lothian, last Wednesday. Based on intelligence, the police believe that his death is an act of revenge for the murder.
