Fairfield main road closes tomorrow

The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising that a section of the Westgreen main road and the Fairfield main road, in Montego Bay, St James, will be closed tomorrow between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.

According to Community Relations Officer for the NWA's western region, Janel Ricketts, this temporary traffic change is being implemented to facilitate the laying of ducts for the installation of overhead traffic lights at this intersection.

According to Miss Ricketts, during this road closure no through traffic will be allowed. Motorists coming from the direction of Fairfield will only be allowed to turn right towards Westgate. Motorists coming from Westgreen will only be able to make left turn at the intersection. Additionally, motorists coming from Bogue will only be allowed to turn left at the intersection towards Westgreen. Motorists from Westgate will only be allowed to turn onto the Fairfield main road.

Motorists are being advised to obey the posted warning signals and instructions of flag persons,

The NWA apologises for all inconveniences caused.
