Filled not thrilled

Dear Pastor,

I am an 18-year-old girl. I have a boyfriend who is a time-waster. He is cheating on me and so I thought if I get pregnant for him, he would stop, but that's not working out.

Please, pastor, give me some advice.

K. D., St. Andrew, Jamaica

Dear K. D.,

What are you trying to say? Is it that you have been trying to get pregnant and you have not yet succeeded or are you saying that you got pregnant, but your boyfriend is still cheating? Whether or not you become pregnant, he would continue to cheat. Getting pregnant will not cause a man to stay with a woman if he has a desire to have as many women he can take to bed.

It is unfortunate that at 18, you are allowing yourself to be used. What you need is a solid education. You can't go wrong having a good education, but you can always lose out on a man. And you need to understand that it is unwise to continue an intimate relationship with a man who is a womaniser.

Pastor
