Dane Woolery may finally experience some freedom again if he can afford bail this time around. Woolery appeared before the Corporate Area Resident's Magistrate Court on Monday along with Dwayne Johnson and Carty Okiefe for receiving stolen property.
Reports are that in September 2006, all three were travelling in a vehicle when they were stopped by the police but they were unable to produce the documents. When checks were done, it was discovered the car was stolen, while Woolery was found with the keys for another car when the men were searched. But while Johnson and Okiefe took up their bail offers, Woolery has been in custody since last September. Having compassion on him as the case has been frequently postponed, Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey reduced his bail from $600,000 to $300,000 with one surety.
The men, however, will still have to wait at least a month before their case can be tried as it was again postponed yesterday because of absence of one of the lawyers.
