Rhyon Rhoden
The family of 23-year-old Rhyon Rhoden has been sick with worry since his disappearance on April 30.
Rhoden recently returned to Jamaica from Canada in December 2006 and was living in Ebony Vale, St.Catherine, with an aunt. On the day he went missing, he went to another aunt's home in Portmore and spoke with a cousin. He left for home shortly after but did not make it there.
Rhoden's family is even more worried by the fact that he suffers from a mental illness and his aunt Dorothy Rhoden-Brown, told THE STAR that she had been told that he seemed "agitated" when he visited. They are also concerned about his safety, especially since he is not familiar with his surroundings.
Rhyon's mother recently arrived in the island to pursue the matter and his father, who is still in Canada, has been desperately trying every possible avenue. The family once heard that Rhyon had been seen in the Wynter's Pen area of St. Catherine, but checks there revealed nothing. They have heard nothing more.
The matter has been reported to the Spanish Town Police Station.
Anyone with information about Rhoden's whereabouts, is being asked to call his aunt at 331-8131 or his cousin at 352-6325.
