Dear Pastor,
I have been working since I was 17 years old and now I am a confident 22-year-old young lady. I work in a small town of which there are a few Caribbean married couples. Since recently I have found out that a couple of the wives have accused me of sleeping with their husbands. I can say now that I have not done such a thing and I never even thought of doing it. Both husbands and I work with the same company. I am friends with them and also thought that I was a friend of their wives until now. I can't seem to think of any incidents that would lead them to think like that.
In the past, I have visited their homes quite often, but for the past month, I haven't visited due to work commitments. I am feeling quite hurt and can't understand why they think like this. I know I must have given reason or reasons for their behaviour. Please, pray for me.

Dear O.M.,
Don't worry, just be careful what you say and do among the wives of these men. Perhaps the men talk a lot about you and the wives are jealous. Perhaps you are very pretty so the women feel threatened by your good looks.
My dear, you don't have to do anything wrong for people to try to ruin your reputation. You know you are not guilty of any wrong. So, continue to be a good neighbour to them. Don't ask them anything about what you have heard. And unless you are invited to their homes by the females, don't go there.
Pastor
