Dionne Gordon, the woman who is charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm for throwing hot oil on her brother, was remanded in the Spanish Town RM Court on Tuesday.
Clerk of courts Floyd McNab informed the court that a warrant was issued for Gordon's arrest when she failed to appear on July 3.
Following several attempts to explain, RM Lorna Errar Gayle remanded her until August 30.
Brother admonished
The complainant, Raymond Gordon, pleaded guilty to hitting the accused with a stone after she threw the boiling oil on his face. He was admonished and discharged by the court.
Allegations are that about
9 p.m. on June 22, Raymond held on to his sister's son and accused him of stealing his money. A dog bit the child, and he was in the process of asking his sister to take the injured child for injection, when she grabbed a pot containing the hot oil, and threw it on him. He suffered burns to the face.
