Trinidad and Tobago police have issued an arrest warrant for soca artiste Machel Montano and Derek Perreira, following a stabbing incident during Carnival celebrations last year. Police said that Montano and Perreira, popularly known as 'Mr. Slaughter', would be charged with wounding with intent after they were accused of stabbing Joel White with a bottle on February 28 last year.

White, who left for Singapore on Wednesday with a group of Trinidadian dancers, said he had been attacked by the two singers while walking on a street just on the outskirts of the capital. Montano is currently on TT$50,000 (US$8,333) bail after he was charged with a assault arising out of an incident outside a nightclub on April 26 this year.
