'Natty' curses judge

By Michael McLean, Star Writer

santa cruz

It was high drama in the Santa Cruz Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, after a man who appeared before the court, showered the RM with several expletives.

Elijah Heron, otherwise called 'Natty' of Burnt Ground district, Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth, and who is said to be of unsound mind, shouted several 'bad words' at the Resident Magistrate, Evan Brown, who was asking the accused to speak up.

Heron, who is charge with possession of an offensive weapon, had to be restrained by several police officers who were inside the court.

The RM immediately ordered the police to take him away. He was ordered to undergo psychiatric treatment.
