Teino Evans, Staff Reporter

It is official: Deejay Busy Signal has severed all ties with his former representative, Julian Jones-Griffith, and has now penned a new manage-ment deal with Shane C. Brown of Juke Boxx Productions.

Busy Signal, whose real name is Reano Gordon, says there are no hard feelings, "a jus manage-ment changing, an Shane Brown from Big Yard a deal wid di ting. Every ting start out properly, Shane always a look out fi mi, a good yout, every ting still good."

While Busy Signal denied that his decision to seek new management was as a result of Jones-Griffith focusing most of his attention on Mavado, who he also manages, Busy said that he was at a stage in his career where he needed all the push and attention he could get.

"Wi a young artiste, wi need all di attention an di push, cause wi nuh reach no weh yet; wi a young artiste same way," Busy said.

Busy, however, said that there were no ill feelings between himself and Jones-Griffith, as he says, "I appreciate all that has been done for me in the past."

Busy says he is now looking forward to what the new change in management will bring as he has "a new song wid Morgan Heritage an wi a finish up some tings wid Rik Rok from Big Yard an ting. A jus a portion a work wi a deal wid an wi a try get some real tings going, more promotions, more videos. Wi a guh tru wid a bigga push."

In addition, under the new management structure, all previous confirmed bookings will still be honoured, among them, Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest on July 19, Red Stripe Temptation Island from August 3-4 and a show in Spanish Town on August 17.
