The 'Gangsta Ras' aka Munga Honourable interacted with his countless fans on Tuesday at The Gleaner offices on North Street, Kingston, for the online and phone chat.
Regrettiny arriving a bit late for the online chat, Munga went straight into answering the questions of the fans who were eagerly awaiting him. Fans questioned Munga on his life before music, his relations with other artistes and much more.
The online chat revealed numerous facts about the STAR's, Artiste of the Month. Among them is that Munga's best overall song is Prayer. Also, the artiste might have a collaboration coming out with another gangsta artiste, Mavado.
However, Munga was quick to point out that while he would want to do a song with Bounty Killer - he is not in the Alliance.
Munga also revealed that he had dropped out of school to pursue music. While he has plans to continue his education, he has no regrets for the path that he chose.
He said: "I dropped out of school to do this and made it work and this takes care of my family. This is something I wanted to do." After ending the online chat, Munga made his way to the phone lines.
A barrage of excited female fans called to get a little closer to Munga. The first caller, an excited girl who identified herself as Jodi, asked Munga where he was and told him that she was coming down to The Gleaner offices right away, so he mustn't move.
Laughing it off, Munga went to the next caller who asked for a second to catch her breath. Munga asked her, "do you look as nice as you sound?", she quickly responded, "Yes! clear complexion and I don't bleach. I have hazel eyes."
As the calls continued, the females got more bold, some asking for Munga's personal, number. Another caller, 'Tracy', wanted Munga to call her name in his next song. One caller, known as Kadian, called the office three times. she asked Munga if he had a girlfriend, and if he had a babymother. Munga asked her, "yuh waan be my babymother?" to which she firmly responded "yes! mi waan yuh, mi love yuh."
One of the female dancers who entered the dance competition put on by The STAR for Munga called saying: "I've been calling all evening and can't get through. My heart is beating now. I want you to say 'Yes! Yes!' on my phone. I neva get to see yuh at the dance ting and I neva get your autograph. Mi can be in your next video?"
At the end of the chat, only one male caller had spoken to Munga - just to hail him. According to Munga, he was tired from all the calls but he had a good time and appreciated the response from the fans.
