Appleton's Super Seven kicked off last Wednesday at the launch of Appleton's Treasure Island at the Mas Camp Village.

When brand manager of Appleton Jamaica Rum, David Walton, took the stage in the middle of the beach fantasy setting that the Mas Camp was transformed into, he announced it was being called the 'Super Seven' of independence parties. ATI begins on August 3 and ends on August 6 - four days of all-inclusive extravagance. Walton commented that ATI was rated as the number one party weekend in Jamaica.

Non stop energy

Walton said, "Appleton Treasure Island 07 will bring you four days and nights of non-stop energy and vibes. A line-up that includes seven all-inclusive parties that are so incredible we coined the phrase 'Appleton Super Seven' to describe them."

The Appleton Super Seven kicks off with 'Twisted Spirits' at Chances, then goes into 'Pip 'N' Ting' at Wavz, 'Yush' and 'Spirits' at Chances, 'Extreme Wet 'N' Wild' at Kool Runnings Water Park, 'Appleton Live Concert' at Wavz, 'Rhythm and Booze' at Chances and 'Juicy Wet Grooves' at Chances. The season band for all Appleton parties that weekend goes for $7,500.

In the meantime, the guests who gathered for the launch enjoyed the beach atmosphere of the venue with palm trees, sand and a beachside restaurant with fish and festivals.

The Coppershot selectors DJ Stylez and DJ Donny blazed the trail for the night. They started off slow with rap music, then moved into pop and rock with Linkin Park. It was when they played some soca tunes that the crowd really got down as the lovely Appleton girls in their skimpy white bikinis wined on the dance floor to the delight of many men.

Coppershot created the right vibes until 2 a.m. with hits from Munga, Mavado, and many others.
