It has been circulating all over the streets, the internet and other media, that deejay Aidonia has officially joined the Kartel-led Portmore Empire.

However, when contacted, Aidonia's brother and road manager, Lav, says "nutt'n nuh guh suh."

"Donia nuh part of di Empire, a Kartel a lead out Portmore Empire an Aidonia a lead out JOP, suh is like two company merge, cause memba Aidonia seh 'Addi a him daddy' an suh yuh find seh wi roll wid Portmore Empire more while an Donia wi seh JOP Empire, but him a nuh part a di Portmore Empire," Lav explained.

It was also rumoured that Aidonia and a member of the Portmore Empire, Deva Bratt, who were previously at odds lyrically, had recorded a song together, but again Lav says, "him (Aidonia) an no memba a di Portmore Empire nuh do no tune."

However, what might have had persons confused was the fact that Deva Bratt recently recorded a song called Pon Di Nozzle A Di Magnum (Auto Tune) that is defending Aidonia, after it was said that Busy and Munga allegedly dropped words on Aidonia in their songs.

Surprise

This might come as a surprise as Deva and Aidonia were previously at odds, lyrically, but according to Deva, all that has changed now.

"Right now Donia sey 'Empire' an Deva Bratt sey JOP said speed, suh a one unit. He is a part of Portmore Empire in dat he is an ally, cause him sey Addi a mi daddy an Addi Di Teacha a di Emperor weh a lead out di Portmore Empire," Deva explained.

Deva, however, said he would not rule out ever throwing words at Aidonia in the future, because, "dem ting deh a di joy a di music, suh it cyan done. Wi will neva lef out dat, but a nothing personal, just a lyrical ting. A jus sometimes di lyrics intensify an wi have thugs weh par wid wi weh, is a governance, suh dem first instinct a fi protect di artiste weh dem deh roun."

With all that said, Lav (Aidonia's road manager) says they were not ruling out the possibility of a combination between a JOP and Empire artiste.

"Every interview him (Aidonia) guh pon him always big up Kartel an JOP an Portmore Empire roll suh maybe down di line a member from JOP an Portmore Empire can do a tune together, jus like how Donia an Kartel do one."
