Dear Pastor,
I am a 14-year-old girl who gets good grades in school. I try not to disobey my mother but there is a part of me that misses the life I once had with my father and mother back then. My mother has been a single parent for the past three years.
This affects me badly because I can't understand why men keep doing bad things to our mothers. I always question myself and wonder if my father loves me because if a man loves his child, he would support that child.
Pastor, I am asking you to pray for my father and the other guys who are doing the same thing. I know how it feels and I would never like another child to experience something like that. Please pray for me as well.
J.W,
Dear J.W.,
I regret hearing that your parents have separated and that your father is not supporting you. Often when parents are separated or divorced, their children are affected emotionally, psychologically and financially. Try your best not to take sides.
Some parents like to have their children take sides. But when they do, they often suffer the consequence. Whenever your mother is criticising your dad, don't say anything.
Pastor
And whenever your father is condemning and criticising your mother, don't say a word. Let both of them know that you love them.
Pastor
