Three killed in 'Town', Mobay

A teenager is among three individuals killed in separate incidents in Kingston and St. James on the weekend.

Dead is 19-year-old Phillip Richards, otherwise called 'Monkey Man' of a Nine Miles, Bullbay address. He was stabbed to death during a dispute with his uncle at his home on Saturday.

Reports are that about 4:30 p.m, both men had an altercation over a television set. During the squabble, an knife was used to stab Richards. The police were subsequently summoned and Richards was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.

The Kingston Eastern C.I.B., who are investigating, are seeking Artnell Powell in connection with the incident.

In another case, Raglan Blake, 33, of Robins Way in Farm Heights, St. James, was shot and killed in the parish on Saturday night.

According to reports, at about 11:00 p.m, residents heard explosions and summoned the police. Upon their arrival, Blake was found on a sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Montego Bay C.I.B. have commenced a probe into the shooting.

Approximately three hours later, residents of McKoy Lane, Kingston 11, called the police after rounds of explosions were heard.

Reports are that at about 1:45 a.m, 23-year-old Kirk Jones was in the area when he was pounced upon by a group of men armed with guns. The men opened fire killing him on the spot. The police processed the crime scene and the body was removed for a post-mortem examination.

The St. Andrew South Homicide Unit is investigating.
