Biker dies in collision with bicycle

A motorcyclist was killed, and a cyclist injured, in a collision on the Barry main road in St. Catherine, yesterday morning.

Dead is 45-year-old Cyrus Edwards of Cameron district, St. Catherine, while injured is 19-year-old Lekkie Johnson of Barry district.

Reports are that at about 7:15 a.m., Edwards was riding a motorcycle along the main road. On reaching a section of the road, he collided with Johnson, who was riding a bicycle. Edwards died on the spot, while Johnson was admitted to hospital in stable condition.

The Linstead police are investigating.
