The police say that the search is now over for a man who lost a piece of his tongue while attempting to rape a woman in April, as he was killed on Tuesday night.
The man, identified as Gary Arboine of Old Harbour Road, St. Catherine, was found yesterday morning along the Spanish Town bypass by the police. His hands and feet were bound and he was chopped, stabbed and had gunshot wounds. He was also gagged.
An investigator for the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offence and Child Abuse (CISOCA), said that Arboine was wanted after his attack on the female, who bit off a piece of his tongue when he attempted to give her a 'tongue bath' during a rape attack. He was positively identified by the would-be victim.
The St. Catherine North Homicide, who are investigating the case, said that the murder brings to 62 the number of homicides for the division since the start of the year. Last year there were 11 fewer murders for the corresponding period.
