Business House football kicks off tomorrow

Division One teams National Commercial Bank (NCB) and Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS) will kick off the 2007 KSAFA Business House Football League competition when they meet at the Cable & Wireless Sports Club at Chalmers Avenue, tomorrow starting at 4 p.m.

The day's action will begin at 2 p.m. with the traditional dress parade with 19 teams participating in this year's renewal. University of Technology (UTech) and Wisynco Group Limited are the new teams. National Water Commission are the defending division one champions.

The Mark Buckland-coached NCB who won the one-day five-a-side rally last Saturday after stopping Port Authority 3-2 in a penalty shoot-out will start as favourites to get the better of BNS. They will be looking to Boys' Town's National Premier League (NPL) player Devon Faulkner, Victor Riley, Calneth Gray, Carlton Rowe, Machelle Campbell, Damion Thomas and Courtney Blake for victory.

BNS who are coached by Calvert Fitzgerald has three Tivoli Gardens NPL players in his lineup in Nicholas McCreath, Richard West and Damion Gordon. They will be supported by former NCB captain Kevin Henzil, Corey Bennett, Paul Alexander and Antar Freeman.

Guest speaker at the dress parade will be KSAFA president, Ambassador Stewart Stephenson. The league competition will continue with three Division One matches on Monday, May 21.
