The May Pen police have now established the names of two of three men who were fatally shot after a gun battle in Clarendon on Tuesday.
According to Deputy Superin-tendent of Police Cleon Marsh, family members identified the bodies as Dennis Walters, 24, otherwise called 'Bongoman', of Payne Avenue; and Clyde Facey, 20; and a man known only as 'Hooker', also of Payne Avenue.
THE STAR understands that Walters was released by the police in Kingston on Monday and warned to keep out of trouble.
Despite the Clarendon police's success in cutting down seven persons who engaged the lawmen in shoot-outs in a 27-day period, DSP Marsh said that migrant criminality remains a problem.
"We are finding it very challenging to contain the criminals, but we will not cower in fear and allow them to create mayhem," said DSP Marsh.
Meanwhile, several businesses in the parish capital have praised police efforts to fight crime, despite their limited resources.
