Suzette Clarke, a 32-year-old mother of two who stripped in front of police officers, found herself $33,000 poorer after she pleaded guilty to indecent exposure in court recently.

The Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court learnt that Clarke was taken to the Central Village Police Station on April 21 after her common law husband, Donald Garrick, made a report that she was behaving violently to the law men. The police attempted to contact Clarke and later found her walking to the station.

The problem escalated when the police tried to solve the couple's problems. She reportedly became boisterous and started to hurl abuse and threats at the complainant.

The police say that they even threatened to charge her to calm her down. The police say that after this didn't work they attempted to arrest Clarke and during a search she was found to be in possession of a knife. Instead of going into a cell she is said to have stripped.

She eventually went in to the cell and was subsequently charged with indecent exposure, possession of offensive weapon and disorderly conduct.

When she appeared in court she pleaded guilty to indecent exposure and was fined $30,000 or thirty days, $2,000 or 10 days for the offensive weapon charge and $1,000 for disorderly conduct.
