A preliminary enquiry date was scheduled in the matter against two St. James men, Carlton McNaughton and 57-year-old Roland Collins, who are facing a murder charge in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court.
McNaughton's original bail bond of $500,000 was reduced to $250,000 on Wednesday after he expressed a difficulty in taking up his bail.
Collins, who is charged as an accessory after the fact, had his bail extended until May 22.
Attorney George Duncan is providing legal representation for Collins while Winston Douglas is the counsel for McNaughton.
Allegations are that in September 2006, the police, acting on information, went to a football field at Brandon Hill in Montego Bay where they found the body of a man identified as 'Dave' .
It is said that McNaughton and another man beat the man before tying him to tree.
Further allegations are that Collins later assisted McNaughton to move the body to the playing field.
It is said that Mr. McNaughton beat the man because he had broken into his home.
