Missing man found dead

Michael McLean, STAR Writer

The police say they have found the body of a man who was reported missing last Tuesday.

The body of 41-year-old Leford Breary, an auto salesman of May Day district in Manchester, was found in bushes in Myersville, also in the parish, exactly one week after the report was made.

It was reported that on March 23, Breary, who was employed to the Santa Cruz Auto Sales, left the company's office and accompanied a prospective customer in a white 1991 Toyota Camry to Nain district where an arrangement was made for the sale of the car. The car was not sold.

On Saturday, March 24, the police received information that the car was sold to another auto mart at New Green in Manchester. They went to the car mart where the car was identified and siezed.

The employer of the deceased man tried to reach him by phone but was unsuccessful.

The matter was then reported to the police, who also tried to reach Breary but got no response.

The police theorise that the man was kidnapped.
