JNA trials tomorrow

The Jamaica Netball Association will hold its annual trials for the youth teams tomorrow at the Leila Robinson Courts in Kingston.

Females aged 11-19 have been invited to take part with an opportunity to represent Jamaica at the under-13, under-16 or under-21 levels.

The national netball programme has always enjoyed success at every level, but convenor of coaching and selection, Paula Daley-Morris, said there is a chance some talented players may have missed the various coaches.

"Anyone from anywhere in the island, and even overseas, if they feel they have a chance they can come and try out," said Daley-Morris. "We want to check to see we have the best group."

The trial, which runs from 8:00 a.m. to noon will be the first stage of an elimination process. Successful participants will be short-listed for another trial with the current members of the respective teams.

Participants in tomorrow's trial have been asked to dress in blue or black shorts, white top, white socks and sneakers.
