A St. James man, accused of raping a 19-year-old girl while on bail for a similar offence, had his bail revoked in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court.
Robert Glanville, of a Norwood address, was granted bail in February in the sum of $80,000 with surety.
However, RM Winsome Henry revoked the bail bond on Tuesday after she learnt that he had a preliminary enquiry for another rape case on April 16.
In that matter, it is alleged that he and two others raped a 17-year-old girl in an incident dating back to 2005.
Glanville was arrested in October 2006 when he turned up at court for his other case. He is scheduled to return to court on April 16.
Allegations are that on September 6 last year, the 19-year-old complainant was at a bus park in Montego Bay when Glanville drove up. She told him she was waiting for transportation to St. Elizabeth, and he allegedly offered to take her there.
Further allegations are that he drove her to a house in Norwood where he held an object at his waist and told the complainant to go into the house.
It is said that when she refused, he told her that there were 15 men in the house and that he would let them rape her. She allegedly became fearful and went inside where he sexually assaulted her. She later escaped to a nearby house.
