New Zealand has already got one eye on the Super Eights, and is breaking out of 'one game at a time' mode.
Black Caps coach John Bracewell has staffers in the Caribbean and in New Zealand monitoring future opponents while he concentrates on preparing the players for the next game.
"As a coach, you're constantly worried," Bracewell said yesterday. "That's the part of the job description. We are constantly scouting the opposition. We're having it videoed at home, analysed and sent over to us."
The Black Caps advanced to the Super Eights after a 148-run win over Kenya on Tuesday. They have also beaten England by six wickets and seek a sweep of Group C when they play Canada today.
"The bottom line is that you want to win all the games," Bracewell said. "You want to keep the momentum, you want to keep the confidence."
In the Super Eights, New Zealand will play every team that advances except the one that progresses from its group. That will either be England or Kenya, and they play on Saturday.
The Black Caps will make three changes for Canada - one of them forced by injury. Ross Taylor, who hit 85 Tuesday, struggled late in his innings with a hamstring strain.
Taylor will be rested as a precaution and is already improving, Bracewell said.
"We've got a six-day lead in to the game once we hit Antigua so we're hopeful that his improve-ment continues," Bracewell said. "He's walking quite freely and the injury is not as harsh as some of these things can be."
